Lockdown took photography from a regular interest to a daily passion. After learning the ropes from a true creative and armed with nothing but a smartphone, I set off on my photographic journey. A few clip on lens followed and I began to get more interested in macro photography and shooting smaller subjects.
This interest and my growing obsession with spiders became entwined, and my photography began to intersect with identifying and researching the subjects as well as observing and documenting them. With all of these interests being fuelled, it was soon time to upgrade from the smartphone! With a little help, I obtained my first camera; an Olympus Tough TG-6, with a bundled FD1 flash diffuser. With this rugged little camera I was set and I started to grow my social media pages. Eventually I realised that I probably needed a website too and well, here we are!
